Definitely the most scenic area of London, a walk along the river towards the Houses of Parliament will make you fall in love with Westminster.
It is easily accessible by tube and has good access to other central parts of London by car and public transport. Westminster is for those who love beauty and tranquility. It is a short walk away through the park to Buckingham palace and tends to be nice and quiet on weekends.
Westminster is not a shopping / restaurant area. There is a large selection of restaurants and entertainment across Westminster bridge on the other side near Waterloo (5 min walk from Houses of Parliament) or for shopping one could go through the park, past Buckingham Palace to Mayfair. Alternatively, Victoria is 10 minutes walk and also offers a large selection of shops.
Westminster can be quite busy during the week with streets full of politicians, businessmen and around the areas of sightseeing – tourists.
